Premier Hockey Federation

Third in the Premier Hockey Federation table on 29 points, Minnesota Whitecaps will hope to make it two wins on the bounce in Saint-Jerome today when they line up against Montreal Force at 1p.m. ET.

The Whitecaps came back to beat Montreal 4 to 1 on Sunday, after the Force had gone ahead through All-Star defender Catherine Daoust.

With Sidney Morin, Jonna Albers, and Liz Schepers racking up two points each with a goal and an assist, Minnesota will come into today’s matchup confident they can extend their three point lead over Connecticut Whale in the league standings.

WTA Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open

The inaugural Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open gets underway on Monday, and tomorrow will see a massive first-round clash between former world No 1’s Karolina Pliskova and Garbine Muguruza.

With neither player seeded and having slid down the rankings of late, both Pliskova and Muguruza ran the risk of a difficult opening round tie.

In what will be the 12th meeting between these two heavyweights Pliskova is the clear favourite on paper, having won each of their last four encounters.

Tomorrow’s winner will face none other than Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina in the second round. And we’ll have more details tomorrow as Canada’s Rebecca Marino, Leylah Fernandez and Bianca Andreescu all take to the court in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

You can tune in to all of the WTA Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open matchups on DAZN and the Tennis Channel.
