Can the Canucks take advantage of the LA Kings and start the Boudreau era off right?
A new face will be behind the bench for the Vancouver Canucks when they host the LA Kings on Monday night at Rogers Arena — how will they respond? (cold open)
That’s right. Bruce Boudreau, who was announced as Travis Green’s replacement on Sunday night, is hoping to provide a much needed spark for a Vancouver team that’s been, well, terrible this season.
Pressure will be on for players like Elias Pettersson, Brock Boeser, and Bo Horvat — who have all underperformed — to get back on track and impress their new bench boss.
Their opponent, the LA Kings, will be playing their second game of a back-to-back and will have backup goaltender Cal Petersen between the pipes. Can the Canucks take advantage and start the Boudreau era off right?
Here are my picks:
- Vancouver cover -1.5 (+175)
- Pettersson to score (+190)
