Zack Cook  Post Game Summary Where in the world is Auston Matthews? That's the questions a lot of Leaf fans find themselves asking each other today after the clubs third straight defeat, this time to Detroit 3-1. After Andreas Borgman opened the scoring early in the first, the Leafs were all over the place and it was very evident that they were playing their second contest in two nights and third in four. Danny DeKeyser, Trevor Daley and Tomas Tatar scored three unanswered goals and that's all the Red Wings would need on Friday night. Jimmy Howard's 25 saves were enough to help him register his tenth win of the year, and the Red Wings first against the Buds at new Little Caesars Arena.  Watchability Level If you were watching this game from a Red Wings perspective, I'm pretty positive you really enjoyed it. On the other hand, from a Leafs perspective, maybe not so much. For the second consecutive game, the fourth line was the teams best, and if they want to get out of this slump, they're going to need much more from Nazem Kadri, Mitch Marner and William Nylander, especially with Matthews ailing.  There were some really good chances in this game, a lot of which came shorthanded from Detroit, but regardless, it wasn't a great game of hockey.  Pre Game Line Results I mean, everyone starts off slow right? One of these times, I'm going to go on a hot streak, it might not be right now, but trust me, you'll regret not looking at my picks soon enough. For now, I'll deal with the 0-2 and hopefully get going sooner rather than later.  Next Game: Tuesday vs. Carolina @2PM (Yes make sure you get the day off work, this will be an afternoon game during the week to commemorate exactly 100 years since the Toronto Arenas played the first game in franchise history)
